Apple sued due to update program

Apple was sued on the intentional slowdown of old iPhones.

The Guardian: Apple faces lawsuits over its intentional slowing of older iPhones

According to the media, Apple has installed a program to all old type of iPhones. It makes the machine’s performance lowered. Apple claims its purpose is protecting the machine from a shutdown. But the plaintiffs believe that Apple is attempting to force the users to buy a new iPhone by crippling the old one.

I guess this lawsuit will be confusing. It seems that Apple’s claim is reasonable because old smartphones are often exhausted. On the other hand, it is certain Apple is willing to make users replace the iPhone. It is difficult to prove the real intention of the program provider.
